DIAGNOSIS!

Nathan has been officially been diagnosed with HISTOPLASMOSIS. Histoplasmosis (say: hiss-toe-plaz-mo-sis) is an infection in your lungs caused by a fungus. In severe cases, it can spread through the whole body.

More than likely the team was infected with this as they cleared brush, dug in the dirt, and stirred up the mold that was in the ground.

We are praising the Lord for a name...but also realizing that we aren't completely finished dealing with this. Nathan goes back to the doctor next Thursday. If his lungs are still bad he will be referred to a lung specialist.

Everyone from the team is out of the hospital now and recovering at home. Progress is slow but steady. We are hearing reports of OTHER team members who have been ill, too.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement! We serve an awesome God!

Having a name for it is some comfort, I hope! Hang in there!

My suggestion is this Nathan, ...Aunt Sally says...Have several long "Hissy fits" and I believe you will get rid of the infection and find it cured!! What could it hurt to try?!

So thankful for at least the known culprit, now to the curing and treating to rid the lungs of that irritative, disruptive, ugly, nasty, and sickening stuff!!

We keep praying!

Love and prayers, Aunt Sally and Uncle Paul Sheets
