These past few days have been filled with highs and lows. No, I'm not talking about the weather. I'm talking about emotions, etc. Let me 'splain.
1. HIGH - Tonight was our children's Christmas musical. The kids did a great job in spite of the sound system issues, the smoke machine snafu, and the missed cues. Being the youngest group I have ever worked with I was a bit concerned with how it would all come together. But these kids are awesome! Some incredible "hidden" talent, too!
2. LOW - After 3 of the 5 of us were sick 2 weeks ago we hoped we were done for a while. Nope. Nathan is very ill. He rallied enough tonight to pull off his part in the play, but is down with a fever and serious congestion. Please be praying for him.
3. HIGH - We have a new puppy in our family!
4. LOW - We have a new messes to clean up!
5. LOW - Both of the computers we purchased less than 2 years ago have crashed! This is devastating on SO many levels!
6. HIGH - The Lord has provided a computer for use in Children's Church!
7. HIGH - We are seeing God working in the lives of friends of ours! It's so awesome to watch!
8. LOW - Friends are grieving the loss of a family member. Along with the normal grief and pain with the loss comes the knowledge that their loved one is eternally separated from God. Often times we hope that a person has "made their peace with God" prior to leaving this life. In this case...the hope isn't there. That hurts. Please be praying for this dear family. They have been through so much and need the Lord's comfort and guidance now more than ever.
God's love is real no matter how many highs or lows we go through. What a joy it is to have a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus!
