Good Day

Nathan had a very good day today. His fever continued to go up, but not nearly to the degree it had yesterday! The antibiotics are working. Against what? We still have no idea. His rash is lightening. All of his blood work is normal. He was even allowed to have solid food today. His favorite was the mashed potatoes. He has successfully retained two meals!

So where are we tonight? If his fever continues to be gone, if his cough doesn't worsen, if he continues to hold down foods and if his diarrhea stops THEN he might be allowed to come home Sunday! This would be wonderful, but we do NOT want him home too soon.

He's been a wonderful patient. They had to switch arms for his IV today and it was an hour to get the new one in. He was very calm and cooperative. We are so proud of him!

Emails and phone calls are coming to us from across the country that express how Nathan is being lifted to the Throne. Thank you so very much for this! We know the power of prayer! Our God is greater than any illness!

God brought our paths together with another family 2 doors down the hall today. Their son, Nathaniel, is 16 and in a relapse of leukemia. This second round of chemo has really hit him hard. His mom and I shared beautiful moments discussing our sons and the Lord. We are keenly aware that Satan is attacking the children of God and we are not going to let him defeat us!

She shared that the other night while yet home Nathaniel was feeling down spiritually and told his mom that he wasn't sure if he was still right with God. After reassuring him that our faith is not based on how we feel he still decided he needed to be certain. So right there he prayed and recommitted his life to Christ. He also rebuked Satan saying "you have no power or authority of me! You must let go of my mind, my body and my nauseated stomach. You must bow to the authority of the Blood of Jesus and I am cover with it!"

How wonderful to see God working in the lives of our children! In spite of disease and sickness God still sits on the throne!

Keep praying! And add Nathaniel to your list, please! Thank you!
