Christmas 2009

Well the holidays have once again come and swiftly gone! It really felt like Christmas snuck up on us! It comes the same time every year and yet this year it seemed to skip ahead a few weeks!

We haven't had the usual time we like to have in order to create and send Christmas cards this year. So we will let the post update you on our year!

Ken is continuing to work on his master's degree online through Indiana Wesleyan. We are pleased with his progress and anticipate his completion in 2010! Judy began work to finish her bachelor's degree online through John Wesley College this year. A 2012 completion target is set! With the boys being in college we are finding it very interesting to fill out FAFSA and other forms four times! This coming school year we will do it FIVE times as Cressalyn enters college as well!

Kenny (21) is in his second year at Bethany. Things are going very well in his life! At the end of the Spring semester he met a young lady who had graduated from school the year before. Melissa works with World Hope and is currently raising her support to return to her assignment as a humanitarian aid worker and English teacher in a few months. As their relationship has grown it became clear to both of them that their futures were to be joined. Kenny proposed to Melissa on December 23 in St. Augustine, Florida. Happily, she said yes! We are enjoying getting to know this precious addition to our family! She is wonderful and we are pleased that God has brought our son such a match!

Nathan (19) is in his second year at Oklahoma Wesleyan University. He was able to go to Hong Kong for one month this summer and teach English. He is continuing to work toward his degree in Global Studies and hopes to return to China this coming year. A highlight of his Spring semester was joining the croquet team in Philadelphia for the National Collegiate Croquet Championship. He placed 14th out of the 72 players!

Cressalyn (17) is working to finish her high school requirements. She has applied to three school
s and hopes to have a decision made by February! Each school holds a certain draw for her so it's not an easy choice! She is still working for a local restaurant and enjoys being with children in the nursery at church.

2009 has been a difficult year financially for us but we have been sustained and blessed by God's provision! Just in October we were blessed by the gift of a "new" vehicle by our church family! If you have been following the Davis vehicle saga over the years you will understand how huge this is for us!

We are excited about what God has in store for us in 2010!
